About Me

This is the journal of a women who has made up her mind to trust God in every area of her life. I struggle and I fall but the Lord is His unfailing love lifts me back up. He has blessed me with a husband that I love dearly and five beautiful children. Our youngest has Cerebral Palsy. The Lord is teaching us much.
There are tasks that the Lord has given us that I struggle with. We believe in home. We learn at home. We play at home. We grow at home. Our hope is to turn this homestead of ours into a place where we can live off of nothing but the good Lord's mercies.  These are the accounts of my daily struggle to put ALL of my trust in the Lord my God.

Living in his Mercy,
Melissa

  1. Super cute family. It's been encouraging to see another family loving the lord and each other ;)

  2. Hello Melissa, I came across your blog searching for Streams in the Desert, Is 41:14-15. I am amazed at the things we have in common - First our love for the LORD Jesus Christ and desiring for His will to be done in our lives. We also have five children, our oldest has CP from a severe brain injury at birth. We too love our home and see life as the place we learn and grow. I am not online often but I did book mark your blog and look forward to reading your blog. Blessings in Christ - Jodi Haskins, www.learningtolovefearlessly.blogspot.com

  3. Hi
My name is Angela Aziz and I often pray for children on Reese's Rainbows. When I first saw Beatrice it broke my heart and I began praying for her almost daily. Now I am so excited to see you are in the process of bringing her home. My daughter Hope told me that for her b-day in Sept (she'll be 5) she wants to find a mom and a dad for "that little girl" I'm so excited to tell her that God found her a mom and a dad. I will be praying for you and your family as you go through this. I am so excited!

  4. Hello!
Like Angela, I, too, have had sweet Beatrice heavy on my heart since I first laid eyes on her beautiful face!
I am so excited that your family is courageously stepping forward to be her forever family. I will continue to pray for her and Sawyer and the rest of your family...God bless you with peace and His presence through this process!
Warmly, Anne in Costa Mesa, CA
